All patient care given at
Elder Chiropractic is based on the need of the patient. Recommendations
for the frequency of care are based on the severity and chronicity of
the condition of the patient and their personal reponse to treatment,
not a formula. This is determined by the objective and subjective
findings of each patient, at the time of their initial consultation and
each follow-up treatment, combined with clinical experience of more than
20 years.
It is our goal to get every patient well as quickly as possible. This is
achieved by spending adequate time with patients to provide needed care,
as well as to identify problem areas in their everyday lives, and to
advise them on aspects of a healthier lifestyle to support long-term
benefit.
We do not offer discounted, pre-paid packages of care, as this style of
practice does not allow us to give the highly effective, personalized
care that our clinic has become known for.
Often, patients will spend less for a course of chiropractic treatment
with us than a course of discounted treatment at some other clinics.
Most of our patients' courses of treatment will fall within these
general guidelines:
i) Uncomplicated (no disc or neurological involvement) back or neck pain
of short duration: 4 - 8 visits/ 4 - 8 weeks
ii) Uncomplicated (no disc or neurological involvement) back or neck
pain of chronic duration: 8 -16 visits/ 8 -16 weeks
iii) Disc lesion of short duration: 8 - 16 visits / 8 - 16 weeks
iv) Chronic disc lesion, spinal stenosis, nerve entrapments: 12 - 24
visits / 12 - 24 weeks
